Division Introduction
The Division of Social Welfare consists of Social Welfare, Elder Welfare , Child and Youth Welfare, Infant and Toddler Care, and Special Rehabilitation for Children. The division seeks to develop welfare experts with the knowledge and skills to provide professional services to various age groups in the 21st century. It provides diverse learning methods, volunteering experiences, and cultural activities.
Department Introduction
- Social Welfare
- Modern society needs educated social welfare professionals who will help the realization of a welfare state. For this purpose the Social Welfare department provides practical study as well as theoretical study. It also concentrates on a curriculum which can help students acquire certificates for qualification as social welfare workers, family health workers, and youth counselors.
- Elder Welfare
- In the 21st century, as modern society has seen an increase in the population of the elderly; therefore, there has been a growing interest in the welfare, needs, and desires. Considering the growing numbers of elderly people, the specialization and professionalism of elder welfare is needed more now than ever before. The goal of the elder welfare major is to provide students with many opportunities for practical experience, equip them with professional knowledge in the field, and produce professionals who can deal with a variety of problems with respect for the elderly. This is possible by providing training in professional theories and practical skills needed to meet the various needs and desires of the elderly.
- Child & Youth Welfare
- In our society has created an increasing the changes in family structure and the increasing number of working women, demand for high quality child care. Because of these social needs, the objective of the Care & Education for Young Children major is to educate students to become professional teachers who are equipped with the necessary teaching abilities, knowledge and skills, to be successful workers who love children.
- Infant and Toddler Care
- In our society has created an increasing the changes in family structure and the increasing number of working women, demand for high quality infant and toddler care. Because of these social needs, the objective of the Care & Education for Infant and Toddler major is to educate students to become professional teachers who are equipped with the necessary teaching abilities, knowledge and skills, to be successful workers who love Infant and Toddler.
- Special Rehabilitation for Children major
- Special Rehabilitation for Children trains students so that they can diagnose and evaluate mentally and physically challenged children, as well as developmentally disabled children at an early stage. Students will be trained to become professional teachers or nursing teachers who can help such children.
